Legal Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist in various legal tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing legal documentation and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Assist in drafting and proofreading legal documents
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and filing documents

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficient in legal drafting and research techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with project management software is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
