Primary duties and responsibilities:
- COVID-19 Screening and Testing
- Work as a member of the site Emergency Treatment Team
- Provide health assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
- Focus on promoting, maintaining or restoring health, and assisting the prevention of illness/injury
- Assist in the ordering and management of clinical stock and supplies
- Conduct daily and weekly calibration and QA checks on first aid kit, AED’s and other equipment
- Be committed to professional practice and personal development
- Work relatively independently, but will also work collaboratively with the client company
- Manage and remain calm within an unpredictable fast (or slow) paced environment as required.
- Assist with the development and implementation of baseline or periodic health surveillance program
- Document and report compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Code
- Assist with the drug and alcohol testing program and maintain document control
- Collaborate with other health and safety professionals to establish and promote injury prevention, wellness programs and initiatives
- Customer service and relations as appropriate
What you need to be successful in the role:
- In good standing with CRNA
- 1-2 years of working in an occupational setting would be an asset
- Alcohol and drug testing experience would be an asset
- Manage sensitive, confidential information while displaying sound and objective judgment
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, in accordance with established medical records protocol
- Maintain employee confidences by keeping employee health information confidential
- Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Collaborates with the employee and appropriate leaders to recommend worker placement or job limitations
- Safety boots required
