Britannia Medical Clinic is a multidisciplinary Family Practice focused on treating all types of patients including Women's health, Family planning, and issues requiring minor surgery. Our philosophy is that every member of the Britannia Medical team has a unique and important role to play as we try to accomplish our mission: in providing preventative care, and focus on educating our patients, about their health issues and empowering them to take control of their own health. We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to function in the role of a supportive team member who shares this philosophy and can grow with us. This is a full-time.
Reporting to the Clinic Manager and Assistant Manager, this nurse will be responsible for various administrative and patient-facing responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enhance patient care by serving as a liaison between patients and their dedicated clinical team
- Triage and onboard new patients
- Update electronic patient records with current information
- Support clinicians by providing accurate case summaries and assisting them while they assess and treat patients
- Deliver impeccable service to patients by educating them about proposed treatment plans and routinely following up with them throughout their time at Britannia Medical Clinic
- Maintain and respect patient confidentiality at all times
- Adhere to Britannia Medical Clinic policies, procedures and protocols
- Various other duties as required

Education and Experience
- Required: Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Required: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience. Preference given to those with experience working in a clinic setting
- Experience with electronic medical records software (AVA preferred)
