Logistics Coordinator

NextStar Energy (NSE) is a joint venture between LG Energy Solution and Stellantis. NextStar Energy will be Canada's first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begin production at the site on over 200-acres of land on Twin Oaks Drive near Banwell Road.

The manufacturing facility is targeted to have an annual production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team and support our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating import/export activities, ensuring the smooth flow of freight shipments by air and ocean. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of logistics.

This person will be responsible for:

• Support the coordination of import/export traffic functions, including data entry and document distribution for ocean import shipments
• Assist in processing orders, maintaining compliance with Canadian and Global standards, and contributing to the operational performance cycle
• Aid in monitoring daily reports, ensuring adherence to measurement standards, and reporting any non-compliance promptly
• Assist with maintaining customer rates, addressing accounting challenges, and participating in RFI and RFQ processes
• Work collaboratively on the creation of SOPs and Process Flows to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Provide support in corresponding with overseas offices and partners in a timely manner
• Collaborate with different departments to ensure a high level of service delivery to customers
• Update tracking events as per client requirements
• Assist in customer invoicing tasks efficiently

Qualifications:

• College degree supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to the logistics process.
