CSA Transportation is seeking an experienced Freight Brokers/Logistics Coordinators to join our growing team in the Toronto Head office.

Experiences in LTL transportation for US and Canadian Freight Brokering is essential. Proficiency in dispatch, pricing, negotiating rates, carrier networking and LoadLink experience is key. Strong multitasking experience in a fast paced, transportation environment is required.

Responsibilities:

· Brokering freight for Canadian and US customers, handling LTL and FTL shipments

· Building and maintaining relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and managing freight dispatching

· Handling local and long dispatching for a variety of truck routes

· Dispatching Rail/Flatbed/Reefer Trucks

· Managing all inbound and outbound activities for the assigned routes

· Staying updated with Custom Regulations

· Analyzing load information from the customers in order to determine and verify the appropriate routes, border crossing points and rates, and setting up daily schedules

· Maintaining communication with the customer throughout the duration of an order, reporting both positive and negative occurrences

· Conducting warehouse and document audits to ensure operational compliance and functionality

· Working with a variety of departments to ensure seamless operations

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Strong computer skills; ability to use various computer software with little to no supervision

· 3 Years of Freight Brokerage Experience

· 3 Years of experience of Dispatching

· Truck Mate experience is an asset

· Previous work in an LTL environment and has good knowledge of the truck transportation industry

· Knowledge of brokering truckloads, negotiating rates, carrier development, scheduling pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments

· Familiarity with Common Carrier tariffs, freight classes, NMFCs, TMS systems and Load Boards is an asset

· Professional verbal and written skills.

· Ability to work independently and work within a team

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $55,000.00 per year
