Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator oversees all shipments, ensuring inbound shipments to our DC from overseas, and our outbound shipments from our DC and from our 3PLs to customers, ship on time. This role will work with suppliers, carriers, brokers, 3PLs and with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery for our products, from freight bookings, tracking shipments, to planning receipts. The primary responsibilities would include:
· Booking shipments for incoming producing from factories (on FOB terms) to ensure on time delivery, based on distribution mode indicated by planning team; updating the POs with correct ETAs and DD based on shipments booked.
· Ensuring we have proper documentation from vendors for all the goods shipped (i.e. Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Forms for Duty Benefits).
· For shipments moved by the factories (DDP terms), following up with vendors to track the shipments and maintaining accurate ETAs.
· Reviewing and maintaining Inbound Shipment Tracker, and proactively alerting relevant members of operation team of any changes to expected delivery dates.
· Coordinate with DC Inbound team to schedule deliveries.
· Following up with carriers on delayed or lost shipments, escalate shipping issues.
· Managing carrier relationships including periodic reviews of rates and SLAs.
· Coordinating with the finance team to approve shipping invoices and investigate irregularities.
· Reporting monthly on DC, vendor and 3PL shipping performance (SLA, accuracy, lead times).
· Working with customs brokers to ensure accuracy of documentation for all shipments.
· Support in solving issues related to the shipments (eg. packing list irregularities/discrepancies, misships, packing issues, damaged goods) or coordinate it with the relevant teams.
· Validate and create POs to receive over shipped units that can no longer be received in original POs – for major discrepancy, he/she can reach out to production team.
The right candidate will:
● Have 1+ years’ experience in a logistics role, with customs an asset.
● Be highly organized with great time management skills.
● Have a high attention to detail.
● Be adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within apparel, working with offshore vendors.

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
