Position Title: Loyalty Analytics Specialist
Team and Location: Brand Strategy & Loyalty – Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON
Starting Minimum Salary from: $66,320/year
Position Summary:
The Loyalty Analytics Specialist will drive analysis and strategic decisions surrounding loyalty, including program strategy, program performance, member value, campaign effectiveness, operations and overall business impact. They will lead design, delivery and sustainment of scalable and insightful dashboards and analytical tools to further enhance the team’s capabilities around data-driven decision making. They will collaborate with retail fuel & merchandising teams and other cross-functional partners in support of earnings, and advance initiatives outlined within Parkland’s strategic transformation project charter.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Analytics
- Define, develop, implement, and monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure both business performance and operational goals are met.
- Communicate with stakeholders across the organization on loyalty performance
- Support in the analysis of campaign and offer performance.
Insight Development
- Work with raw data sources to uncover trends and insights to drive business decisions.
- Design and delivery strategic and analytical insight materials to leverage in cross-functional stakeholder management and presentation
- Program Strategy
- Interpret insights and analytical developments and apply them to create and support strategic recommendations for the program structure, campaigns, partnerships, etc.
- Support the design and delivery of Loyalty Analytics projects and individual strategic initiatives working with teams and stakeholders across functions and geographies.
Financial Tracking and Planning
- Contribute to loyalty and marketing team future planning, including budgeting and spend strategies.
- Conduct the tracking of loyalty spend and performance against budget.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven business and financial acumen and analytical ability. Ability to develop hypotheses on business performance, manipulate large sets of data, develop structures to guide analysis, perform technical analyses, translate complex data into actionable insights, and make strategic/tactical recommendations.
- Mastery of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in using data/analytics to drive business strategy and optimize business results.
- High-level of individual initiative and motivation, focus on quality of work, and attention to detail.
- Strong team orientation, able to work with a diverse team based in a field and corporate environment, while being able to work autonomously on projects and initiatives.
- Strong work experience demonstrating analytical, financial, consultative, and communication skills with a proven record of positive business results and an increasing level of responsibility.
- Desire to develop intellectual property in the form of re-usable analytical tools, and strategic or analytical methodologies. “One and done” attitude when performing analysis, striving to eliminate risk of re-work or other inefficiencies.
- Database and analytical tools (SQL, Python, Athena, etc.) and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English), oral and written, is an asset.
- Experience in customer loyalty and marketing is an asset.
