Position Title: Mailroom Clerk

Status: Full-time Support

Hours:40 hours per week

Department: Maintenance & Operations / Mailroom

Campus/Location: Humber College, Lakeshore Campus

Salary: Support C$24.12 9 (min) - $28.04 (max)

What you will do:

The incumbent co-ordinates a variety of functions for the Shipping and Receiving Department at Lakeshore Campus. The responsibility consists of: sorting and collating incoming and outgoing mail, pick up and delivery of internal and external mail using motor vehicle, dollies, manual and electric pallet (pump) trucks; weighs mail and uses metering machine to correctly process postage; tracks incoming packages using proper mailroom software; receives and distribute various materials; communicates with all couriers arriving at facility; receives supplies consigned to Humber College, assists with set-up of furniture for special functions, and other supporting functions. This position requires a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License


What you bring to the role
:

Education & Experience
  • The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent in Health and Safety, Occupational / Business Management.
  • The incumbent will come with at least one year of experience in a warehouse and/or clerical position.
Skills
  • Knowledgeable on Health and Safety regulations, and will have the ability to utilize MS Office applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to gather, prioritize and process workload
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Takes initiative to improve day-to-day routine assignments and deliver mail in the most efficient manner possible
This position requires a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and the ability lift up to 40lbs
