AddressMaintenance Electrician
We are looking for a Maintenance Electricianfor our Fort Saskatchewan facility. In this role you will ensure the proper installation, functioning and maintenance of all electrical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage preventive maintenance and electrical testing for all equipment and facilities in Fort Saskatchewan.
- Maintain, update, and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Provide expertise in the evaluation, selection, and installation of new electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
- Provide troubleshooting services and functionality improvements for existing equipment and installations.
- Determine and monitor electrical loading throughout the plant.
- Provide and/or support the provision of technical support and training to Operations and users.
- Act as a technical resource and collaborate in the preparation and/or revision of quality system procedures and work instructions as they pertain to electrical including test and maintenance procedures.
- Embrace, comply and promote current Plant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Policies related to all operations.
- Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices.
- Maintain and administer the Electrical QMP.
- Participate in safety and loss management risk assessments.
- Provide after-hours/on-call services as required.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Maintenance Department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your Profile:
- Journeyperson or Red Seal ticketed Maintenance / Industrial Electrician.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial setting.
- Additional trade tickets would be an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems utilizing testing equipment, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good understanding of ISO standards and their impact on maintenance activities including proper documentation.
- A working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
- DCS experience, ideally with Delta V.
- Incumbent should be detail oriented with good prioritization skills.
- Incumbent should integrate well with multifunctional teams and have a strong desire to pass on knowledge for the benefit of the team.
