Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Planner is accountable for developing high quality job plans to be used for execution of maintenance activities. The planner is an expert in their discipline and is responsible to provide plans for execution steps with the right materials, tools, and documentation for the work to be executed safely and efficiently.
What you will do:
- Applies actual field condition information, relevant technical data, trade knowledge, personal experience, and where appropriate, input from maintenance, operations and technical resources to develop high quality executable plans
- Participates in troubleshooting activities and works with reliability and engineering teams to determine the best approach for repair
- Ensures all plans developed are consistent with the Nutrien Planning Standards. This will include safety procedures, maintenance standards/procedures, identification of required resources, estimated task durations, materials, equipment and services required to execute the work identified
- Develops and maintains Task Lists to ensure complete and accurate records consistent with Nutrien planning standards. Participates in updating Bill of Materials and Preventative Maintenance Plans as required
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma
- Journeyperson ticket {Metals (Pipefitters, Boiler Makers, etc), Electrical, Millwrights, or Instrumentaion}
- 8+ years’ experience in an industrial process setting
- Strong technical knowledge of their discipline, respected among peers
- Experience with SAP, planning and scheduling principles are an asset
- Ability to determine root cause and develop a solution. Experience with basic problem solving or 5-Why is required.
