As the Maintenance Job Planner, you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities related to Water Treatment facilities. You will be accountable for supporting Maintenance with plans and information which improve all maintenance activities, as well as stewarding asset management registration and maintenance history data. Primary duties include:
- Register new assets in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Create detailed job plans for corrective maintenance work orders that can be communicated to the trades people.
- Setup and auditing of preventative maintenance procedures for existing assets to ensure accurate job planning and scope.
- Coordinate purchases with Supply Management and ensure all materials, equipment, and contract services are available in advance of the job.
- Backfill other maintenance planners' responsibilities during new CMMS training.
- Collect, review, assess, and interpret data under minimal direction and to plan repairs.
- Assist with identifying and preparing work plans for major shutdown events.
- Follow up with maintenance staff to ensure all job data provided in the computerized CMMS is accurate and complete.
- A completed 2 year Technical Certificate in a related field such as maintenance planning or asset management with work experience in operations, maintenance or maintenance planning; OR
- A valid Journeyman Millwright certificate, or equivalent, as recognized by the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board.
- At least 5 years of experience in the maintenance of a large industrial plant.
- An ability to interpret operational and maintenance manuals (O&Ms) and a strong mechanical aptitude is required.
- Knowledge of environmental standards and legislation related to water or wastewater treatment, building, plumbing and construction codes, and safety standards is essential.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits; OR a Graduated Driver's License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits, with no current suspensions or charges pending.
- Experience managing and analyzing large datasets regarding maintenance history and/or asset information.
- Extensive knowledge of plant equipment, infrastructure, and work related procedures of a large industrial treatment plant.
- Familiarity with City of Calgary business practices such has procurement, contractor management, and the corporate project management framework.
- Proficient use of a CMMS Oracle WAM, Maximo, SAP budgeting and job cost control are considered assets.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, and strong problem solving and customer service skills.
- Must obtain a City of Calgaryoperator's permit.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
