About the Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Systems Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to, overseeing the operations of maintenance at Qualtech Seating Systems (QSS) and implementing continuous improvement efforts to improve maintenance and manufacturing processes.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and verify completion of work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
- Develop/maintain an effective PM program that ensures ongoing improvement of all equipment reliability.
- Work with trades personnel to validate that work orders and PM's that are assigned are closed in assigned time allotted.
- Manage ordering, receiving and inventory updates for all parts, including components for repair, to ensure spare parts, tools and equipment are secure and available when the need arises to conduct maintenance projects and work assignments efficiently.
- Responsible for scheduling and assigning of daily duties of all maintenance employees. Supervise maintenance personnel as required, including vacations and weekends/holidays as needed.
- Assist maintenance personnel with major breakdowns and trouble shooting as needed.
- Champion, analyze and trouble shoot major downtime events using root cause analysis. Assist in maintaining maintenance department measurables and KPI's. Generate and maintain equipment failure modes and effects analysis document.
- Assist in development of an annual maintenance plan.
- Ensure employees know how to perform each job assigned to them in an efficient and effective manner and are fully aware of the correct and safe way to operate their equipment.
- Address all safety concerns either raised from workers or by safety audits. Advise workers and management of any potential or actual hazard.
- Complete Accident Investigations and ensure immediate corrective measures are taken when necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and following all safety rules at QSS. Follows all plant standards and ensures compliance to the QSS employee handbook along with all QSS policies and procedures.

Your preferred qualifications
- A degree in a related field, electrical/mechanical engineer and/or certification in a relevant trade.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing, maintenance operations and related processes with 2-5 years of progressive maintenance experience in an automotive environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement processes/lean manufacturing concepts, methods & principles.
- Good understanding of capital and expense budgets, understanding of operational planning with strong project management skills.
- Ability to partner with internal/external customers, suppliers and contractors.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and other manufacturing related software.
