North Bay Police Service is currently accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor will perform repairs, clean and maintain Police Headquarters.
Prerequisite:
- Previous custodial/maintenance experience.
- Previous experience in maintenance management.
- Previous experience in carpentry, plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in a commercial environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and WHMIS legislation relative to the position.
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance tools and procedures.
Principal Tasks:
- Clean Police Headquarters building, property, furniture, appliances and equipment.
- Supervise Cleaners and assign duties as required.
- Submitt peformance evaluations on all Cleaners in accordance with Service Policy.
- Identify maintenance cleaning deficiencies and provide recommendations to meet identified needs.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance as required.
- Arrange maintenance as required and liaise with external contractors as directed.
- Prepare and submit administrative reports as required.
- Order and maintain adequate inventory of custodial supplies and submit an annual budget.
- Assist with preparation of Request for Bid (RFB) documentation.
- Take additional training as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
The annual salary range for this position is $71,368 - $77,457.
