Leading a team of Supervisors and health care professionals, the Manager, CD will report to the Director, CD and provide strategic leadership and direction. This will include leading section planning, implementation and evaluation in a manner that meets divisional goals and objectives.
What you will do in this role:
- Lead the identification, assessment, analysis and synthesis of health status data to inform population level, public health approaches for the section
- Manage the use of situational assessment data to inform population level approaches
- Establish strategic and operational goals and objectives for the section
- Prepare and manages an annual operational workplan, incorporating integrated planning principles and identifies performance targets in order to achieve program level outputs and population level health outcomes
- Ensure the strategic directions of the Corporation, Department and Division are integrated into the section including the routine reporting and measurement of specific strategic actions
- Ensure high quality technical reports are developed within the section including evidence reviews, briefing notes, program evaluation reports, council reports, and recommended changes to program delivery and staffing requirements
- Lead the development and implementation of the full range of population level initiatives and ensures the achievement of strategic and operational outcomes
- Deliver efficient and effective initiatives including evaluation and quality improvement data for decision making
- Lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of standards set out under relevant legislative requirements within the section
- Oversee continuous quality improvement activities including accurate collection, analysis and reporting of indicators, trends and gaps in service delivery
- Ensure that mechanisms are in place to deliver timely data and related service indicator data to address the standards set by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
- Lead change management processes within the section and ensures that knowledge translation and continuing education occurs to support this
- Develop, recommend and administer the budget for the section ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget parameters
- Hire, coach, motivate, train and evaluate reporting staff while ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources
- Completed Degree in Nursing or related field, ie: Public Administration or Public Health
- Current and in good standing certification from a regulatory college, such as College of Nurses of Ontario or related health care profession
- 5 years progressive management experience in public health setting
- Strategic thinking with ability to analyze complex problems and provide timely solutions
- Effective decision-making skills with ability to incorporate various perspectives
- Expert knowledge of population health principles and continous improvement strategies
- Skilled and engaging facilitatation skills with polished interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership qualities to mentor, coach, and motivate
- Budgeting experience along with strong computer skills using relevant software
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Completed Master's Degree in Public Health or related filed
- Technology expertise using relevant softwares including EMR & SharePoint

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
