Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Content Designer on our team, you will shape how our employees engage with firm content through our intranet sites. You’ll be a strategic thinker with the capabilities to collaborate with colleagues across departments to determine appropriate messaging. You’ll make sure that advisors can find, understand, and action information required to do their jobs and serve their clients. In short: you’ll use content to digitally connect with our employees so they can find information efficiently and concentrate on what truly matters.

As the leading wealth management firm in Canada, Wealth Management Canada (WMC) offers an unmatched employee experience by putting strategy, research, design principles, and technical innovation at the center of everything we do. To continue this mission, we need exceptional digital professionals, like you, to bring our process to life.

What will you do?

  • Help shape the usability of our intranet sites and be seen as a leader in digital content. Your peers and partners will rely on your advice and guidance on intranet UX design principles and writing for web standards, tools, and processes.

  • Work with business partners and members of the WMC Communications team to support employee engagement communication strategies, specifically organization of priority initiatives on the homepage.

  • Apply stakeholder management skills and facilitate discussions on the rationale behind digital content strategies.

  • Use expert writing skills to review, understand and edit complex business concepts and edit for plain language, ensuring content aligns with digital content standards.

  • Collaborate and provide expertise on information architecture; determining where in the sitemap new pages should be placed and evaluating and redesigning current structures.

  • Help to define the SEO strategy for our internal websites and support in the implementation across all pages and documents.

  • Apply the principles of inclusive design, accessibility and French language laws in Content Design and creation.

  • Perform content audits and manage the documentation and sharing of content throughout its lifecycle.

  • Leverage tools such as Google Analytics to monitor content traffic and effectiveness.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • A post-secondary education, ideally with a university degree or college diploma

  • 3- 5 years of writing for web experience in marketing, communications or UX

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of the design thinking methodology

  • A working knowledge of OpenText, Wrike and Figma

  • A working knowledge of accessibility standards and methods to address them

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact

  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team

  • Flexible work/life balance options with an expectation of at least 3 days in the office
