Position Title: Manager, Facility Infrastructure 

Team and Location: Retail - Ontario

Position Summary:

This position is accountable for managing the ongoing repair and maintenance for Retail and Commercial facilities owned and operated by Parkland Fuel Corporation within an assigned area. Accountable to execute planned capital upgrades within an assigned area. Within assigned area work with employees, contractors, vendors and consultants to ensure our facilities are maintained to Parkland standards while meeting budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure repair and maintenance at facilities are executed in a safe & timely manner to cost and time (SLA) standards.
  • Recommend and execute preventative maintenance programs at facilities.
  • Plan and execute maintenance capital upgrades at facilities. 
  • Monitor all information and recommend ongoing improvements to all systems, standards and SLAs to ensure Parkland facilities “up time” is as high as possible in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure all facilities meet or exceed the regulatory requirements regarding testing, inspections and operations for all authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to FI Team members within an assigned area with regards to performance management, personal and career development.

  • Provide leadership and direction to contractors, vendors and consultants to ensure that PFC is receiving the most cost effective and timely services and equipment to maximize the uptime of our facilities. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7-10 years experience in Infrastructure and Maintenance procedures in Retail & Commercial Facilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of practices and procedures for maintenance of buildings, HVAC equipment, petroleum.
  • equipment, food preparation equipment, car wash equipment, lighting and signage.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations, fire, electrical, plumbing, building, safety, fuel handling, Measurement Canada and environmental.
  • Technical post-secondary education and/or combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to identify and report preventative measures to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Motivated self-starter with good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, good communication and reporting skills.
