As the Manager, Risk Control Operations, you will:
• provide comprehensive risk assessment for the OFA's borrowing, investment and risk management activities.
• develop and produce reports on exposures to credit and market risks and related hedging positions.

• You have excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills along with a strong sense of political acuity to deal with a variety of sensitive issues.
Technical Skills:
• You have a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of risk management.• You have the ability to implement effective measures to plan, control, and account for the identification, assessment, measurement and control of financial risks including market, credit and operational risks.
• You have extensive knowledge of treasury policies and operations including trading conventions, pricing methodologies for financial instruments, derivatives including futures, options and their accounting treatment.
• You have knowledge of hedging concepts involving the use of derivatives and other hedging products.
Analytical Skills:
• You have highly developed analytical, mathematical and statistical skills to perform a high level of risk analysis and portfolio valuations, construct portfolio benchmarks and measure debt issue cost and portfolio performances.• You are able to exercise good judgment in developing an analytical framework for measuring and reporting financial risks facing the Province and you are able to quantify the financial impact of foreign exchange, interest rate and credit exposures.
• You are up-to-date on risk management/control and performance measurement and bench marking issues and practices.
• You are able to analyze and operationalize new performance measurement, risk assessment and risk measurement methodologies.
Communication Skills:
• You are able to communicate information and vision with clarity and enthusiasm resulting in a shared understanding and commitment• You are able to provide briefings and presentations on market risk assessment, risk monitoring and performance of capital market activities
• You are able to discuss strategies with all levels of staff, including the CEO of the Ontario Financing Authority (OFA)
