*Youth Worker - Part Time*
Weekend Sleep Position

Manhattan Place is a community-based group home for male youth ages 13-17 years old who are referred through Children’s Services. This home provides a safe and stable living environment with individualized support and around the clock care. Manhattan Place works closely with youth to strengthen relationships with their families and friends and foster connections in the community.
Youth Workers are responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of our youth’s day to day needs including ongoing trauma-informed service delivery, goal and transition planning, daily care, and continuous support. The Youth Worker works together with youth to support them in building a natural support network, setting goals, repairing relationships, and enhancing their quality of life.
The Weekend Sleep worker is required to sleep at the program and wake up to support awake staff as necessary if there is an emergency. The Weekend Sleep worker is able to pick up relief shifts as scheduling allows.
Hours: Friday 11pm-7am (sleep) ; Saturday 11pm-7am (sleep)
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Services
- Experience working with youth with complex needs
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the Natural Supports Framework
- A good understanding of how trauma, grief and loss can impact identity and connection with natural supports
- Current standard First Aid Certification and Suicide Intervention Training
- Valid Driver’s license and adequate insurance coverage
- Current Police and Child Intervention checks (within 6 months)
- 3 years of driving experience with a Class 5 license

Salary: $15 per hour (sleep) ; $22.06 per hour (awake)
