Manufacturing Team Member

Production Case Company is a technical packaging manufacturing company that has been serving Canada since 1985. We specialize in small to medium production runs of a variety of products within the packaging and transport industry. We are looking for a creative, motivated, well-spoken individual with strong working skills.

Job Description

Responsibilities/Tasks are, but not limited to:

· Working with a small design / Manufacturing Team to assemble cases and/or foam inserts per technical drawings. Typical products include custom foam inserts for “Pelican” branded or other rugged cases, wooden road cases, and various foam/plastic/wood/metal components.

· Shipping and receiving, with or without forklift (training provided).

· Work with sales staff to create product pricing estimates and quotes.

· Maintain reliable documentation of an extensive library of custom products.

· Work with technical staff to solve production issues.

· Conduct quality assurance checks of products.

· On occasion meet and communicate with clients. Provide technical insight.

· General oversight of production of goods.

· Work with a team to oversee reliable supply of raw materials for production.

· Follow all company safety and Covid protocols.

Job Requirements

Candidates must meet the following:

· Strong working skills, Great Attitude, Willing to learn.

· Experience working with hand tools.

· Able to manipulate full sheets of plywood (approx. 50-75 lbs)

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Punctual, Motivated, Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.

· Knowledge of MS Outlook, and Excel.

· Must be able to take directions comfortably, multitask, and manage time efficiently.

The following are not a requirement but considered strong assets:

· Experience operating heavy machinery, manual mills, lathes, and CNC equipment.

· Professional manufacturing experience.

· Professional exposure to day-to-day operations of a production facility.

· Woodworking skills.

· Mechanical and technical insight.

· Forklift certification.

· Bilingual (English/French)

Working hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. On occasion, overtime is required and paid out accordingly.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
