SalaryWe are currently looking for a Membership Services Representative to join our team of committed professionals. This part-time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Chippewa location in North Bay.
Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Membership Services, the Membership Services Representative is responsible for all membership data entry, financial payments, and course registration. In addition, Membership Services Representatives are the initial point of contact at the YMCA. As such, they represent the organization, making the dissemination of accurate information and courteous service critical to the success of the YMCA.
START DATE: April 1, 2024
LOCATION: North Bay, ON
RATE OF PAY: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
HOURS: 16-24 per week
Major Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest level of product knowledge and promote membership sales
- Actively engage members and promote YMCA programs
- Complete sales transactions with new and renewing members and program participants
- Resolve member’s concerns or problems personally or redirect them to the appropriate staff person
- Perform facility tours
- Ensure that all confidential information is properly protected
- Ensure member retention guidelines are being followed and all new members receive a follow up
- Provide consistently prompt and courteous service, ensuring every guest visiting the YMCA is acknowledged and welcomed
- Ensure that the Membership Desk is clean and welcoming
- Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization
- Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) preferred
- Minimum of one year of customer service or related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Experience using critical thinking skills to evaluate and resolve problems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
