Position Overview
As a Night Auditor at Cabot Cape Breton, you will assume a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our resort during night-time hours. Your responsibilities include reconciling daily financial transactions, verifying guest accounts, and generating accurate reports for management. Attention to detail is paramount as you review billing information, process payments, and address guest inquiries with professionalism. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements and contribute to the overall efficiency of our accounting and administrative processes. Your exceptional organizational skills, numerical accuracy, and ability to work independently will play a vital part in maintaining Cabot's high standards of service and accuracy, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.

- Attention to Detail: Find satisfaction in reviewing financial records, receipts, and guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all transactions and reports.

- Numerical Aptitude: Enjoy working with numbers, performing calculations, and managing financial data accurately. Have a keen eye for spotting errors and ensuring all financial records are balanced and precise.
- Guest Service: Take satisfaction in aiding guests during late-night check-ins or addressing their inquiries and requests, ensuring guest satisfaction even during the night shift.
Preferred qualifications and skills:
- Experience in Guest Services and Night Audit
- Excellent computer skills, experience using reservations systems an asset
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent telephone manner
- A team player and a self-starter, yet able to work independently within Cabot Cape Bretons standards
- College or University degree preferred in Hospitality/Customer Service or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a guest services role
Requirements of the role you should be aware of:
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Ability to remain alert and display strong attention to detail during overnight shifts
- Ability to spend long hours walking, sitting, and standing during duties
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move luggage and objects up to 50 lbs
