Our team is growing! Do you want to be a part of a face paced growing company? We are adding to our team in the role of OFA 3 Medic. This position is local to Fort St. John and is primarily a field-based position. Reporting to head office/shop as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains trusted customer relationships.
- Self-directed, organized and result oriented.
- Works, cooperatively and persuasively with customers, employees, and other management.
- Travels to industry sites as needed, operating a pick-up truck with medic unit, obeying all traffic laws, and driving to road conditions.
- Participates in the creation and implementation of SOP’s and procedures pertaining to AAA Safety and Field Services by giving feedback.
- Works with the Field Operations Manager, AAA HSE Management and Medical Director to ensure that procedures, safety programs, medical protocols and HSE documentation are kept up to date and accurate.
- Keeps in contact with industry safety personnel to ensure that AAA Safety and Field Services always has a well-established and respected name in the industry.
- Performs inspections of equipment, trucks, MTC, and required paperwork.
- Participates in worksite hazard identification, assessments, and mitigation of identified hazards.
- Participates in rescue and evacuation drills as per AAA Safety and Field Services and client requirements.
- Provides support to customers including signing workers in and out of worksite, attending to first aid needs of workers, and provide pre-hospital medical care to patients who suffer serious injuries or illness.
- Coordinate transport or transfer of medical care to a medical facility (Hospital) or other service provider (BC Ambulance/STARS)
- Monitors workers to ensure that they are not suffering from over exertion, dehydration, or fatigue.
- Works closely with the Field Operations Manager regarding industry trends, needs and directions so that management can be proactive in ensuring AAA Safety and AAA Field Services are meeting the needs of the customer.
- Provides input relating to company growth and future development to ensure that AAA Safety and Field Services remains the industry leader.
- Maintains professional certification and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, safety courses and other educational and training opportunities.
- Willing to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed.
- Cleans, inspects, and prepares all equipment for the next use, both in the field and upon return to the AAA Safety and Field Services Shop.
- Works to improve communication with the team and other staff throughout AAA Safety and Field Services.
- Ensures that all safe work operating procedures are followed by AAA Field Services employees, and client representatives

- H2S Alive
- OFA 3
- WHMIS
- TDG
- CSO
And any other industry required or job specific safety tickets.
- Must have good winter and off-road driving experience.
- Must have a good understanding of Industrial Field Safety practices and services
Job Types: Casual, Seasonal
Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
