Job Summary:
The primary role of the Feedlot Office Administrator is to organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to maximize organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The Office Administrator will greet customers, contractors, employees and visitors, and answer their queries. They will maintain a tidy office and will perform a variety of basic office duties including cattle, commodity and yard related data entry.
What you'll do:
- Receive and direct telephone calls/emails/faxes and relay conversation and pertinent messages to others while maintaining accuracy, clarity and confidentiality.
- Greet customers, contractors, employees and visitors; answer their basic queries and direct them to the appropriate person in the office.
- Track office supplies inventory and order accordingly.
- Enter data related to feed bills, commodities, cattle movements and various other data.
- We're looking for someone who:
- Has 1+ years of office experience - experience working in the agriculture and Feedlot industry would be considered an asset.
- Is proficient using computer programs - specifically Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and database software.
- Has experience using accounting software.
- Has excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail and the independence to get things done.
- Can organize office work and tasks effectively and efficiently.
