Operation Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensuring the efficient and timely communication of bids and opportunities activity;

* Obtaining and distributing bid packages and addenda enterprise-wide;

* Confidently navigating all bid eProcurement sites used by WSP (MERX, APC, Ontario tenders, Biddingo, etc.);

* Liaising with external procurement/purchasing agents and city officials to obtain bid packages;

* Ensuring document management; keeping all bid package information complete, accurate, and readily available;

* Liaising with senior staff regarding internal policy changes and procurement trouble shooting;

* Providing general customer support and public relations for team’s internal clients;

* Updating and ensuring accuracy of Bid Opportunities records on SharePoint;

* Supporting the National Manager Bid Opportunities as required; and

* Other duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Previous administrative experience (preferably in a professional services B2B environment is an asset;

* Ideally some exposure to proposals/marketing and customer service roles;

* Solid proficiency in Microsoft office (focus on MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook);

* Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;

* Proven ability to:

* Understand and prioritize business needs;

* Effectively meet tight deadlines;

* Consistently deliver high-caliber, accurate work with a high degree of attention to detail;

* Take direction and guidance;

* Strong verbal and written communication skills are required (communicating in a clear, concise, and accurate manner is a key success factor in this role);

* Strong teamwork skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and who is committed to the success of WSP.

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS (considered an asset)

* Any exposure to Public Sector or large corporate proposal preparation is an asset;

* Any experience in engineering, architecture, or construction industries is an asset;

* Any experience with bid eProcurement sites including Merx, Ontario Tenders, Bids and Tenders, Biddingo, and APC, among others is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,485.67-$95,138.14 per year
