Summary
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance to the Manager Operation Support & Regulatory Compliance, supporting the operations team, the chief pilots, and the maintenance team.
Responsibilities
Aircraft Onboarding and Retirement
- Coordinate and assist in the early stage of operations for new aircraft
- Responsible for research and aircraft paperwork
- Coordinate new equipment submissions with various authorities (TC, FAA, and TCO)
- Distribute documents for each aircraft (Licenses, insurance, etc.)
Quality Assurance, Regulations, and Processes
- Assist the operation team during audits (TC, ARGUS, IS-BAO, other External companies). Track findings and due dates, and coordinate submissions to the auditors.
- Support the implementation of the Flight Crew Member Fatigue Management Regulation
- Ensure all changes are kept current in accordance with ICAO SARPs and IS-BAO Standards
- Coordinate research required with the supplier for the build-up of major documents such as Operator MELs
- Comply and understand the Execaire Safety Policy
Administrative Support
- Draft the agenda, take minutes, and ensure follow up on action items of various meetings
- Coordinate the correction of manuals with subject matter experts (Emergency Procedures, Training Manual, SOPs, COM)
- Assist Chief pilots and all Execaire pilots
- Assist with the Maintenance Operations Quality Assurance
- Assist the Flight Safety Officer, the Training System Manager, and the Electronic Flight Bag Manager from YUL
- With the help of the Manager of Operations, amend and produce presentations and briefings for the Director of Flight Operations
- Responsible for drafting internal and external correspondence for the Director of Flight Operation and Chief Pilots
Requirements
- College Degree
- 3-5 years in aviation
- Safety management experience
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Dynamic and energetic leader in operational issues
- Solid confidence and communications skills. French is an asset.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to think/work creatively and strategically and to work under pressure
- Great teamwork ability and takes initiative
- Flexibility and availability to work outside of normal business hours to satisfy clients’ needs
