Pharmacy Assistant
Key Competencies include:
- Assist pharmacists in providing patient care and medication administration
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory
- Answer phone calls and assist with patients inquiries
- Process prescription orders and insurance claims
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology
- Proficiency in the Greek language is a very strong asset for this position.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred, but not required. Full training is provided to those applicants who have no experience.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team to provide quality patient care. This position is ideal for individuals who have prior experience as a pharmacy technician or have a strong interest in the healthcare field, but it is not required. The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Strong communication skills are also important as you will be interacting with patients and customers on a regular basis.
We are looking for professionals who demonstrate clinical precision and a strong business acumen. A part time position is available for a neighbourhood Community Pharmacy located within a medical clinic.

An open availability to work during our business hours: Monday - Saturday with selected days.
Live in close proximity or have their own transportation to get to the pharmacy.
Candidates must be eligible to work full time within the province of Ontario.
