Job Description:
The Pharmacy Assistant offers top-notch patient service in a polite, informed, and professional way. In addition to focusing on achieving pharmacy excellence in the areas of customer service, workflow efficiency, and inventory control, the assistant oversees identifying and scheduling professional clinical services.
Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Manager with daily operations of the Pharmacy Department
- Keep track of pharmacy stocks by ordering, receiving, and switching out supplies and stock
- Manage customer prescription pick-up and assist with prescription preparation and compounding of prescriptions
- Third party adjudication
- Blister packing medications
- Other jobs & duties, as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in Kroll
- 1 year of Pharmacy Assistant experience preferred
- Experience working in a retail environment
- Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
