Permanent THE POSITION
This position is site based and local to the Rimbey Area. The selected candidate would work alongside Asset Engineering Team Lead and other members of the Asset Engineering team at site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide day-to-day and on-call engineering support to Operations and Maintenance.
- Provide engineering input to projects, Management of Change (MOC) and procedures.
- Prepare compiled Engineering Work Packages (EWP) for the implementation of technical recommendations which include process, mechanical, instrumentation and electrical scopes.
- Research, develop and implement improvements for process optimization.
- Lead and participate in Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) and What-If analyses for MOCs.
- Provide technical support to CAPEX projects by assisting in data collection, design reviews and stakeholder coordination.
- Project management of small OPEX projects including cost estimates, execution plans and cost control.
- Provide technical information and guidance to Business Development and Marketing.
- Strong operational analysis skills with the ability to identify issues or potential concerns and recommend solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills matched with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
- Can establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with other employees, management staff, contractors, and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Engineering, with a preference towards Mechanical.
- 3-5 years minimum gas plant experience in a similar role within midstream and pipeline facilities.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta or eligible to apply for registration.
- Knowledge of piping codes B31.3 and Z662, as well as pump and compression systems.
- Ability to utilize various software and applications to support day to day work.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects / priorities to meet deliverables.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
