Job Summary
As an Operations Supervisor, you will provide guidance and motivation to warehouse associates and route drivers as well as ensure effective customer/client rapport is maintained.
Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Operations Supervisors, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
-Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies including training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, and addressing complaints and resolving problems
-Manage an hourly workforce of warehouse associates and route drivers in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with company policies and procedures assessment
-Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of the operation and attend regular staff meetings to keep informed and updated about current developments related to the business
-Handle queries from Operations and Management
-Maintain inventory management system and make recommendations to streamline operations and improve the inventory maintenance process
-Ensure quality, cleanliness, customer service and company policies and programs are maintained
-Maintain confidentiality of all company information
-Ensure contract compliance, and ensure the team is aware of contractual obligations for the project
-Compile weekly reports, variance reports, and forecasts
-Advise Management Team and Operations Team regarding weekly labour, finance, inventory and forecast for the project
-Continually review services with the object of reducing costs and increasing profitability and efficiency, without loss of standard
-Complete work and safety training requirements
-Ensure compliance with all operating policies and procedures

-At least 3-5 years supervisory experience, with a post-secondary education degree or diploma
-Excellent computer skills with strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and database management
-Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
-Strong adherence to meeting productivity, quality, and safety standards
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-A good business acumen that enables you to quickly understand and deal with situations that lead to a favorable outcome
-Ability to work well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines
-You have demonstrated the ability to design, develop and implement significant process improvements, following these through to successful implementation
