The expected compensation for this position is $19-$21 per hour, considering factors like experience, skills, and qualifications. Base pay is just one component of our overall Total Rewards offering. Why We Need You:

Our Sardis location is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience with you and join us as our newest Optometric Assistant.

You will play a critical role within FYidoctors by delivering world-class service to our patients. As our newest Optometric Assistant you will be responsible for the retail and repair of eyewear products as well as follow-up care. Join us in advancing eye health and enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

This position is a full-time, permanent role working up to 40 hours per week (5 days per week). Our clinic is open Saturdays and we are open late on Tuesdays. Availability to accommodate this schedule is a must.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Primary focus will be on
  • Supporting patients in the selection of eyewear
    • Educating clients about the best eyewear choices for their lifestyle, ensuring they receive the best in value and quality
    • Assisting with selection of frames to suit patients' aesthetic and performance needs
    • Interpreting optical prescriptions as written by Optometrist
    • Performing frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning of eyewear
    • Submitting prescription eyewear requisitions to manufacturing lab
    • Performing repairs and adjustments to patients' eyewear
    • Arranging and maintaining retail display area
  • and pre-testing patients before they see the Optometrist
    • Auto-refractor and NCT
    • OCT
    • Retinal Photos
    • Colour Vision
• Secondary focus will be assisting front desk as required
  • Communicating with patients in person, by phone, and by email
  • Warmly greeting patients as they enter our clinic
  • Managing appointment bookings, prescription printouts and billing and payments
• Upholding excellent customer service standards using your charisma and problem-solving skills

What Do You Bring?

• Ideally, you will bring a minimum of one year optical experience
• Confidence working in a fast paced environment
• You possess strong organizational skills
• A high level of comfort using technology and computers
• A professional, approachable manner and a love of meeting and interacting with people
