Order Entry Specialist

Your responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently enter customer orders, ensuring all details, including product information, quantities, pricing, and delivery instructions, to allow order execution in the system.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations (planning, shipping, purchasing, etc.), Customer Service, to clarify order specifications and address any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Issue acknowledgments of receipt of orders to customers.
  • Prepare shipping requests with all required information.
  • Inform customers of delivery delays.
  • Collect and archive documentation regarding the orders and records assumptions and decisions taken during the process in the systems in scope of responsibility.
  • Continuously assess the end-to-end Order Entry workflow, identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procedures, reduce errors, and enhance the overall efficiency of the Order Entry process.
  • Implement improvements, such as automation.

Your background

  • College or university diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, or related field.
  • Experience in Order Entry, data entry, or a related role, emphasizing a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in data entry software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.); SAP (Required).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to details, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • An initiative-taking mindset and dedication to process improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills; and comfort in written and oral communications in English.
  • French an asset.
