Job Summary:
The Order Fulfillment and Inventory Specialist is responsible for the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Wholesale Team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before shipment and address any discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, order trends, and stock movements.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure adequate stock levels of products.
- Implement inventory control best practices to optimize inventory turnover.
Quality Control:
- Ensure product quality and integrity are maintained during the picking and packing process.
- Identify and report any damaged or expired products.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve processes and prevent errors.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and Order Fulfillment activities.
- Generate and update documentation related to inventory management and order processing.
- Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service team to address customer inquiries and concerns.
- Work closely with the Wholesale team to optimize Order Fulfillment and delivery processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding inventory-related matters.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in Order Fulfillment, inventory management, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of dairy or food production industry (preferred).
