Menno Simons Community School serves students in grades K-11 population , comprised of English students and ESL Mennonite students. The school is situated west of Fairview, Alberta, north of the beautiful Peace River in the mixed farming area of Cleardale, Alberta, approximately 650 km northwest of Edmonton and 200 km west of Grande Prairie

One Part-Time (0.40 f.t.e) Information Specialist is required commencing May 6, 2024 and continuing until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization of the school's materials, including physical and digital inventory, ordering and maintaining textbooks and other resources, and working with staff to secure materials under the direction of the school's administrative team.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma and education and/or experience working in an information management setting

Experience with online resource management

Skills:

Able to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines

Patient and helpful with staff and students

Well developed interpersonal skills

Ability to liaise between school staff, divisional staff and outside agencies

Strong organizational skills

Strong verbal and written English skills

Ability to work as a member of a team and maintain a positive work environment

Requirements:

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

Provide an acceptable current Children's Services Intervention Record Check (applicants within Alberta)

This is a Union position under CUPE Employees, Local 4839 Peace River Support Staff.

Rate of Pay:

$ 20.35 to $ 25.56 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
