OVERVIEW
The Student Information Specialistcontributes to the efficient day-to-day operations of Robertson College, International, and supports management, staff, and students. They report directly to the Lead of Operations for the Global team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Student Information Specialist is required to perform a range of duties including but not limited to:
Reception
- Answer general phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Direct phone inquiries to the appropriate staff member
- Reply to general information requests with accurate information
- Greet visitors to the organization in a professional and friendly manner
Process sales of bus passes, computer/textbook sales, and tuition payments
Office Administration
- Assist International Team staff with MS Office and database software
- Update Student Information in the student records management system, including phone number, address, email address, student number, etc.
- Assist with Welcome Calls and the onboarding process of our partner program students
- Follow up with students pending document submission
- Provide information about Student ID cards, Peggo Cards, Keep.MeSAFE, and answer General Guard.Me insurance inquiries
- Generate, scan, and send out diplomas and transcripts to students
Receive and record payments in cash, bank draft, and personal cheques
Qualifications
- 2 years of direct experience in higher education student services is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with students and team members
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed; objective-oriented with a high-level attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience with course development software and Learning Management Systems (D2L preferred) is an asset
