Senior Support Services – CPHC, a non-profit charitable community support service provider invites applications for a Part Time Service Assistant. Reporting to the CSS Manager, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-directed and an enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal skills. They will relate well to clients, families, staff, volunteers and community partners. This position primarily works in Diners' Clubs.
Primary Responsibilites:
- Providing support for all Community Support Programs, primarily Diners' Club, including but not limited to Meals on Wheels, Foot Care, Transportation, Respite, and Front Reception.
- Planning, preparing and delivering Diners' Club events.
- Adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide support to the clients, the Managers and the volunteers.
- Input, update and maintain client management system (NESDA) data for CSS programs.
- Ensure effective office and telephone public relations with clients, volunteers, and other agencies.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Skills and experience in food preparation and meal activity for large group settings.
- Experience working with seniors and volunteers preferred.
- Efficient and accurate data entry and management of electronic client data with defined timeframes is essential.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Work, Internet, and Email.
- Experience with NESDA Client Management System (or similar software) is an asset.
- Certificate from a recognized Community College is an asset.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- ·Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to speak and engage in large groups.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, access to a vehicle and insurance.
This position is part-time, with a salary range of $20.48/hour to $21.71/hour, plus a percentage in lieu. These positions are unionized under SEIU Local 1 Canada.
