Job Description:

Job Summary:

Provide efficient and friendly services to students, faculty, and staff members. Support the effective operations of the Vancouver site. Assist with general office duties and tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with site staff to ensure effective and efficient site operations. Support students, staff, and faculty on-site to maintain a positive learning and teaching environment.
  • Cooperate with other departments to resolve student or site issues promptly and professionally.
  • Work with local staff to coordinate events onsite, including monthly information meetings.
  • Work with the IT department to gain basic knowledge to help students with computer or network issues.
  • Provide front desk coverage and customer service to students, instructors, and property management with other support staff. The critical function is to answer phones and service face-to-face student interactions.
  • Coordinate classroom availability and scheduling, ensuring buildings and classrooms are open on time and equipment is operational and available. Ensure that classrooms are properly cleaned in a timely and professional manner after all classes and events.
  • Oversee the exam proctoring process.

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service, front desk, or related experience.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and organizational and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision, effectively prioritize work, multi-task, and adjust to changing workloads and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to other sites as needed.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products.

  • The employee is occasionally required to use repetitive motion of the feet and kneel.
  • The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Work is generally performed indoors in a typical office/front desk setting.
  • Attendance in evenings or weekends may be required based on site schedule.
  • This is an on-call position with flexible hours.

Salary:

CAD 22/hour.
