We are seeking to add driven and empathetic lawyers who wish to utilize their litigation experience in a non-adversarial context, where our focus is on serving injured victims and the legal community with creative financing solutions. Candidates should have at least FIVE (5) years post call experience in a plaintiff Personal Injury firm, insurance defence firm or insurance company. Experience in Personal Injury, tort, accident benefit, coverage and/or commercial law is required.
Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications and supporting productions
- Assess loan requests and provide written reports identifying key risk areas, liability issues and quantum of damages
- Follow up and maintain effective communication throughout the due diligence process
- Maintain and develop strong, positive relationships with lawyers and industry professionals
- Respond to client and lawyer requests and concerns in a timely manner, while analyzing client needs and recommending the appropriate product solution
- Conduct legal research and monitor trends in the Personal Injury field
- Participate in company marketing initiatives as required
Requirements:
- L.L.B or J.D with 5 years post call litigation experience
- Must be a team player
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest in Personal Injury law
- Client-centric approach
- Ability to prioritize as required and “roll up your sleeves”
- Persuasive writing skills with ability to evaluate and assess issues
