Physician Assistant

```Duties```

-Basic hourly rate plus bonus depending on number of patients seen.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and review of symptoms
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions, in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments, ensuring proper dosage and administration
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
- Document patient encounters, including assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans

```Skills```
- Registration with the association of Physician Assistants. Accreditation through a Canadian Physician Assistant program [i.e McMaster University/ University of Toronto]
- Pain management: Knowledge and skills in assessing and managing pain in patients with various medical conditions
- Medical terminology: Proficient understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and document patient encounters

- Patient care: Ability to provide compassionate and quality care to patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Medical office: Familiarity with office procedures and administrative tasks commonly performed in a medical setting
- Experience with Accuro - not a requirement as training will be provided in EMR.

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
