Reporting to the Senior Planner, Mine Maintenance, the Mine Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is a key team member in developing, supporting, managing and controlling all aspects of planned work identified for the Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities:
-Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures;
-Manage work order backlogs for accuracy and details required to properly advance the work through the planning process;
-Scope all aspects of pre-job requirements, including parts, labour resources, permits, drawings, facilities, support equipment, special equipment and tooling, instructions, etc.;
-Support daily schedule walkthroughs with supervisors to support effective work execution;
-Work consistently with the maintainers to create detailed work packages, especially for routine work, to further build those captured packages into our system;
-Work closely with the Reliability team to ensure maintenance strategies are implemented as designed, and provide feedback for improvement opportunities;
-Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of our processes and systems, bringing forth visibility and continuous improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Department;
-Implement maintenance strategies within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as outlined by the reliability engineering team, work closely with condition monitoring personnel to plan any condition-based work orders;
-Schedule and participate in post Preventative Maintenance and completed Work Order quality reviews;
-Coordinate parts/materials delivery and staging through materials technicians;
-Manage stock levels for required onsite parts as well as setting new parts up in stock;
-Support in managing planned major outages of equipment i.e engine changes;
-Perform other responsibilities as required or as assigned.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma along with a journeyperson’s ticket or a parts person ticket or post-secondary degree/diploma in a related engineering or technical discipline is preferred;
-Preference will also be given to candidates with previous supervisory, materials acquisition, planning or scheduling experience;
-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite(R) and proficiency with the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo or Daxti. Training will be coordinated for our CMMS system, however previous experience would be an asset;
-Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to productively direct a team;
-Possess a high level of energy, be detail orientated, and willing to embrace change;
-Familiarity with the maintenance processes and other system software is an asset;
-Demonstrated organizational, planning, and resourcing skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines is essential;
-A proven team player and able to work well in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
