Job description

Overview:
BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Mine. Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Mobile Maintenance, the Planner – Mobile Maintenance will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functionality and performance of our fleet of mobile equipment. This position involves developing, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance schedules, as well as collaborating with various teams to streamline operations. The Mobile Maintenance Planner will contribute to the overall efficiency of our organization by minimizing downtime, optimizing resources, and implementing effective preventive maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Develop, communicate and maintain a visible timeline of the maintenance projects prepare forecasts for maintenance activities on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Set up job plans for work requests that fall within planning guidelines
  • Prior to scheduling, ensure all tools, permits and any necessary contracts personnel are available and or in place
  • Ensure the planning process involves crafts, operators, vendors, Technical Support and management
  • Produce written job procedures for all planned jobs
  • Ensure all required materials are available and at the job site prior to scheduling
  • Ensure that equipment history and bills of materials are accurate
  • Provide information for the costing and budgeting process
Qualifications:
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or engineering Technology degree is preferred or post-Secondary completion in a related field of study or trade Qualified with years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maintenance Supervision, Maintenance Planning or a closely related discipline in a heavy industrial or mining environment;
  • Experience working in a remote industrial environment is preferred.
  • knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements at remote sites.
  • Relevant qualifications in appropriate area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of the OHS, mining, and construction regulations.
  • Effective time management skills and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good computer skills with competence using Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to influence and inspire others and manage cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Operations and Maintenance systems, processes and facilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Experience in dealing with contract services and manufacturer representatives.
  • A valid driver license and a driver’s abstract
