As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dairy Plant Manager to lead and oversee our dairy processing operations.

Job Summary:

The Dairy Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the dairy processing plant, including production, quality control, and maintenance. This role requires a strong leader who sees efficiencies while being committed to upholding the highest standards of product quality

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

• Oversee all aspects of dairy product manufacturing, including milk pasteurization, cheese production, yogurt production, and packaging.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality and efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize production processes to minimize waste and maximize yield.

Quality Control:

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure the consistency and safety of dairy products.
• Investigate and resolve quality-related issues.

Safety and Compliance:

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for all plant employees.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, including CFIA and OMAFRA regulations
• Develop and oversee safety training programs for plant personnel.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:

• Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs of processing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies to support plant operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to address equipment issues promptly.

Team Leadership:

• Train, and manage plant staff, including production workers and maintenance technicians.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure a motivated and skilled workforce.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Budget and Cost Management:

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dairy processing or food production and plant management.
• Strong knowledge of dairy processing techniques, equipment, and quality control.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and certifications
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Salary: $23.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
