Hr Manager

We are a full-service supplier of fertilizer, pest management products, including biologicals and bees, seeds and other consumable goods to the greenhouse, nursery and specialty horticulture industries in Canada and the USA.

What You'll Do

• Create or revise and implement HR Policies and Programs, ensuring policies are compliant with applicable Canadian and US legislation (specifically Provincial and State legislation)
• Support talent acquisition and recruitment for professional and management positions
• Work with hiring managers to precisely define roles and expectations through the creation and revisions of job descriptions
• Gather and analyze data with HR metrics (time to hire, turnover rate…)
• Process paperwork for new hires, transfers, adjustments, and terminations in accordance with employment standards and legislation
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations when hiring in different regions in North America
• Manage the performance review process (communicate to managers to commence process and be a support for questions and review for training and development or Performance Improvement Plans)
• Handle WSIB claims and records
• Set company wide direction for Health and Safety (TBD how, when, etc.)
• Compensation data (WTW) and submission of survey data for WTW
• Oversee and manage HR projects
• Manage HR team by providing support and thoughtful leadership
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of HR and IT

Who you are

• Strong communicator, who thrives in collaborative environments
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)

What you’ve done

• Post-secondary education in related field
