Post Secondary Coordinator
Position Summary
The Post Secondary Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Post Secondary pre-counseling, program application, funding and ongoing program support for students attending Post Secondary institutions. The coordinator is responsible for reporting financial and summation reports to the Director of the Sts’ailes Education Department.
Reporting/Duties
- Reporting out financial summaries to the Sts’ailes Education Department
- Tracking budgets within each student program
- Working with the Education Director to prepare monthly/annual financial reports
- Reporting out Post Secondary programs and database statistic reports
- Reporting out any and all other program initiatives undertaken during the term.
- Preparing the year end report for submission.
- Preparing the proposal application and any other relevant program proposals within Post Secondary.
- Oversee monthly report preparation
- Liaison with relevant Post Secondary institutions
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Supervision
- Overseeing student application and ongoing programs including student budget and projections.
- Overseeing program initiatives with supporting Post Secondary institutions
Communication
- Develop and maintain relationships with all Post Secondary institutions regarding student applications, programs academic standing
- Report out on a monthly basis to the Director unless otherwise directed
Pre-Program Counseling
- Complete assessments of student interests, strengths/limitations
- Counsel the student in regards to career options/opportunities
- Counsel secondary students within the Post Secondary application
Delivery
- Conduct career, skills/assessments, track student programs, statistical reports
Reports to
- Director of Education, Sts’ailes Education Department
Education and Experience
- Post Secondary degree in Education, Human Resources, Social Work or a related field of study
- Training and/or experience working within a Post Secondary environment
- Proven ability to supervise and monitor student progress
- Computer software; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
- Written and verbal communication skills/conflict resolution/time mgmt
- Ability to communicate and facilitate effectively with groups and individuals
