About the role
Provides support to the Associate Director, Controller/IT to achieve the overall financial goals and objectives of Boston Scientific through effective planning, analysis, and reporting activities including variance, comparative, and trend analysis for divisional sales, gross margins, and expenses. Participate in the in the development, preparation, analysis and reporting of country financial plans. SME on Tableau.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provides key financial support at all Country Business and Plan reviews.
- Provide sales & financial reporting, value-added analysis, and continuous improvement of country financial business processes.
- Management of daily reporting functions (i.e. Daily Sales, Divisional Product Reports, etc.).
- Provide key monthly/quarterly management reports (i.e. Day 2 sales flash/estimate, monthly business review file, President’s Club rankings, etc.).
- Key participant in FP&A process, including the preparation and data input of quarterly sales and expense plans and annual sales and expense plans into Hyperion.
- Analyzes performance trends and provides commentary on sales, operating expenses, and other key financial parameters to improve profitability.
- Investigates and reports on significant variances to ensure integrity of information and performance against quarterly plans. Helps country remain on target.
- SME on Tableau; uses Tableau for ad hoc reporting purposes and provides support to country Tableau user base.
- Complete monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for Statistics Canada
- Other duties as required.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrates being an independent problem solver and can also work well collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (must possess advanced Excel skills to create robust planning and analysis models, etc.)
- Practical experience with Hyperion
- Practical experience with Tableau or similar reporting tools
Preferred qualifications:
- CPA Designation
- Practical experience with SAP or similar ERP suites
- Work experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
- Accounting experience in inventory accounting and fixed asset accounting
