Our client is a successful manufacturer of original equipment for manufacturing, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of products and systems.  As a member of the engineering team, the Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth launch of new projects, documentation and engineering changes, and work with engineering on new project development. REQUIREMENTS – Process Engineer

.

- 3-5+ years of work-related experience in the automotive industry

- Post-secondary education in applied fields (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering).

- Knowledge of product and machinery design software (eg. AutoCAD and SolidWorks)

- Understanding manufacturing machinery for automotive stamping, welding, processing, and automation.

- Proven position experience in analysis, design, presentation, concept, quality, consulting, engineering, and planning.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication, with excellent organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Process Engineer

 .

- Maintain documentation for the process flows.

- Assist projects from conception to completion

- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process.

- Development documentation, mechanical drawings, and equipment for cycle time, ergonomics, and repeatability.

- Collect, record, transcribe data, prepare reports, charts, and documentation required for projects.

- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems that improve production measurables

- Assist in developing material handling logistics (i.e., isle layout, bin placement, dunnage, etc.).

- Lead the implementation of all customer-approved engineering changes

- Create the layout of cells as per the design.

- Aid in drawing data transfers between customers and suppliers.

- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders on a technical level

- Act as the process leads to studies and projects.

- Develop or bring forward, as appropriate, industry best practices and new technologies.

- Develop innovative solutions.

- Prepare and review project proposals, studies, and technical reports.

- Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.

- Work with equipment designers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.

- Evaluate and improve processes in manufacturing systems.

- Apply sound basic knowledge of safety, environmental, and energy-related issues

- Develop and/or assist with new business proposals.
