Senior Product Designer

Encircle is leading the $1.6 trillion dollar property insurance industry out of the dark ages of pen and paper processes, into the digital age of transparency and empowerment. Our easy-to-use software platform enables thousands of restoration contractors and insurance professionals around the world to process claims faster. About the Role
The Product Designer will transform complex workflows into intuitive, functional and engaging user experiences. As an experienced Product Designer you are comfortable running your own design projects from research to release, collaborating business wide and sharing often.
Craft – You will make meaningful contributions that raise the level of quality in our products and influence the completeness of other projects across the team. As a senior Product Designer, you apply just as much energy to solving user journey's and workflows as you do to highly-polished and beautiful visual design.
- Quality – You care about the work you are doing. In your process, design does not end when you hand the figma board over. You want to be part of the build and quality control for the work you designed and make sure it's right.
- Passion – As a Senior Designer you are driven to not only work on what’s assigned, but hunt for areas of improvement and fine-tuning. We encourage innovation and use design to differentiate us from our competitors.
What You’ll be Doing:
Run your work through the entire design process from research and ideation all the way to high-fidelity design, spec’ing and testing. UX, PM and Engineering work as a team.- Spend time to understand the market we are in and the customers and users who use our products daily. We are solving complex, on-the-job problems for restoration professionals on a hectic and noisy job site.
Collaborate and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Support, Senior Stakeholders and actual customers to take products from concept to release.
Collaborate with other Encircle designers to ensure consistency across our experiences and across different user scenarios and platforms.
Share early and often keeping stakeholders and teams updated on what you’re designing and the state it’s in. We believe the best UX is a whole team effort.
Design and facilitate co-creation workshops to define opportunities, gather feedback and ideate. It’s important to get perspectives from others, including customers.
Find creative ways to continuously learn from customers, users and each other; Research and synthesize needs to help conceive, define, test and evolve solutions for our product.
Help grow and mature the design culture at Encircle. Contribute to grow our strategy, design practice, design systems, processes and principles.
What You’ll Bring:
- Have high-level experience with the entire product design process, from research and problem discovery through to detailed interaction and visual design.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, adaptive and quick-changing environment.
Highly proficient in creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and high fidelity design using Figma. Know how to create and use components to help grow our design system. Know how to spec work for developers to understand.
Demonstrate deep expertise in understanding technical constraints, and finding creative solutions to design challenges.
Familiarity with usability testing and a commitment to a user-centered design approach, incorporating feedback to enhance the overall experience.
Analytical thinker who is both comfortable talking design with designers and data models with developers.
Reporting
This role reports to the Director of Product Design.
