Job Description:
What will you work on?
This position will support and collaborate with our Los Angeles PI Engineering team to learn the basics of toy compliance, help monitor product performance in the field and recommend improvements where needed, and assist with special projects related to the department.
This position will offer the selected candidate an opportunity to gain a high-level working knowledge of toy safety and compliance while working with a variety of partners within Spin Master including toy design, product development, marketing, as well as our colleagues in Asia, Europe, and Mexico
How will you create impact?
- Participate in quality, safety and reliability activities to ensure product consistently meets all regulatory and customer requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external testing as required and planned for the development stage.
- Compile and review technical files for assigned products in accordance with various regional requirements.
- Analyze customer returns and product complaints. Recommend possible product changes to address functionality or reliability problems if they arise.
- Ensure that packaging and labelling specifications for new toys are met.
- Assist with the establishment of our in-house physical/mechanical testing lab.
What are your skills and experience?
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs is preferred
- Ability to work full-time as an intern
- Availabile for hybrid work model, 3 days per week in office
The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $20 USD her hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
