PRODUCTION AREA SUPERVISOR
The Barry Group Inc. is seeking a Production Area Supervisor at its Crab Plant Located in Witless Bay, NL.
This is a full time/seasonal position supervising a group of approximately 15 - 40 workers.
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Work well in a fast pace environment.
- Well organized and work well with his/her peers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong people skills including effective communication skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in:
- Planning daily production
- Consulting on employee relations matters
- Complying with and enforcing Workplace NL policies and procedures
- Ensuring we are producing a product that meets BGI Quality specs.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
Managing teams: 2-3 years (preferred).
Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, BRC, CFIA: 3-5 years (preferred)
Experience using Microsoft Office tools such as word and excel
Will train where necessary.
