Production Associate/ Packer

Work Hours: Varied – shift work, day, afternoon, or night Shift.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Associate/ Packer is responsible for packaging finished product -vinyl siding, at the end of an extrusion line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- At the end of an extrusion line, pack, load, and assemble boxes with the correct amount of finished product – vinyl siding.
- Assist the machine operator with machine/line set up.
- Assist the machine operator with line jam ups.
- Perform routine quality checks and complete necessary paperwork
- Ensure all safety devices are properly adjusted, in place, and all procedures are followed.
- Ensure good housekeeping and clean workspace.
- Observe, follow, and promote health and safety policies and procedures
- Cut scrap materials, with the use of hand tools
- All other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Day shift:
7am-7pm 2-week rotations is as follows:
Week 1,Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Night Shift:
7pm-7am 2-week rotations is as follows:
Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday-
Week 2 Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- No rotation between days and nights – either straight days or straight nights.
- Location is not on a bus route (reliable transportation is required).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- year experience working within a manufacturing facility.
Skills/Abilities
- Comfortable with physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs.) and working in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Extensive standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking.
- Able to work all shifts - day, afternoon, night, and continental shifts.
- Reliable in attendance and strong work ethic
