Job Duties:
· Plan and supervise processing operations.
· Work with quality, maintenance/engineering, and shipping/receiving departments to achieve efficient use of the facilities, maximize throughput and cost effectiveness.
· Supervise the process to ensure quality, minimize waste, maximize yields and productivity.
· Monitor raw material inventory and initiate procurement at order points to maintain inventory levels.
· Schedule fulfillment of orders to ensure on-time delivery of products.
· Recommend changes or adjustments to the process in operations for continuous improvement.
· Effective communication and coaching for employee relations. Leadership in quality and positive work culture.
· Participate in audits and recalls.
· Direct sanitation operations and ensure all resources required to fulfill the process are in place. Work with Sanitation Supplier to evaluate sanitation needs periodically.
Job Requirement
- Supervisor experience in a seafood processing operation, including ready to eat seafood.
- Experience in Lobster and Shrimp processing is an asset.
- Experience with BRCGS Certification is an asset.
- Advance written and spoken knowledge of English.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Must be flexible in working hours. Maintain a high attendance record.
